Description
ebm-papst 252/2N (also known as 2522N) is an ultra-compact brushless DC axial cooling fan engineered in a space-saving 25 x 25 x 8 mm (0.98 x 0.98 x 0.31 in) miniature square profile. Operating on a nominal 12 VDC supply, it delivers 2.0 CFM (3.4 m³/h) of airflow and a maximum static pressure of 28 Pa (0.112 in H₂O) at 9,000 RPM while drawing a meager 0.45 W of power. Built with lightweight PBT plastic housing and impeller, the unit incorporates a Sintec sleeve bearing system, an integrated open-collector frequency generator (tachometer) output, and impedance protection against locked-rotor events.
Key Features
- Ultra-Compact Profile: Miniature 25x25x8 mm frame designed for high-density electronic assemblies and space-restricted enclosures.
- Whisper-Quiet Operation: Generates a sound pressure level of only 15.0 dB(A) for noise-sensitive operating environments.
- Integrated Tachometer Output: Features an open collector speed sensor lead providing continuous closed-loop RPM monitoring.
- Robust Electrical Protection: Incorporates built-in reverse polarity diode protection and impedance protection against locked-rotor overload.
- Reliable Bearing System: Engineered with ebm-papst Sintec sleeve bearings delivering up to 40,000 hours of continuous service life.
